We have never come across a Campbell's Pottery vase this size before. Made in the 1930, the vase is a staggering 40cm high and is signed John Campbell Tasmania on the base. #longfordantiques #campbellspottery #localpottery #tasmaniapottery

This miniature chest of drawers is probably English and was made either as an apprentice piece or perhaps as a jewellery chest. It is made from pine, has turned and ebonies knobs and is very cute! #longfordantiques #antiquestasmania #miniaturechest

Yesterday we showed an ebonised Papier Mâché table, today a chair treated in the same manner. This type of furniture was generally found in the drawing room, or parlour, where ladies would entertain. #longfordantiques #antiquestasmania #ebonisedchair

The Victorians were fascinated by animal forms and used them extensively in jewellery. This 14ct gold brooch is in the form of a bee and is mounted with an opal, seed pearls and a blue stone which could be a sapphire. #longfordantiques #antiquestasmania

We have a few cameo brooches in stock at the moment. Most cameos are carved from shell like the two top ones and the bottom one, but the one shown in the middle is carved then mounted on a dark stone which could possibly be a piece of larva. #longfordant
